一般描述
Clostridium perfringens selective supplement contains the antibiotic D-Cycloserine that inhibits the accompanying bacterial flora ａnd causes the developing colonies to remain smaller. It also reduces the diffusion ａnd the disturbing blackening around the Clostridium perfringens colonies. 4-Methylumbelliferylphosphate (MUP) is a fluorogenic substrate for the alkaline ａnd acid phosphatase. The acid phosphatase is a high specific indicator for Clostridium perfringens, ａnd it splits the fluorogenic substrate MUP. The fluorescence of resulting product, 4-methylumbelliferone, can be identified in long wave UV-light, which suggests the presence of Clostridium perfringens.
應用
Clostridium perfringens selective supplement is used for the enrichment of TSC-Agar (Base) during the enumeration of Clostridium perfringens in food products ａnd other materials.
